Newton King’s Weekly Report. On Friday, 12th inst., at Waiwakajho yards, I had a fair entry. Good conditioned cows -were in demand. Weaners did not meet with as good competition as of late although some very nice pens were entered. Weaner steers sold at from £1 4s 6d to £1 9s 6d, grade weaner heifers £1 14s to £1 18s, Jersey weaner heifers £2 11s 6d to £3 9s, 2-year steers £4 4s, bulls £2 2s to £5, empty 15 to 18-month heifers £3 2s to £3 10s, in calf 20month heifers £3 12s 6d to £4 2s, Jersey springing heifers £7 10s, Jersey in calf heifers £6, store and forward cows up to £4 7s, fat cows £5 10s to £5 15s, f.m. ew.es 7s to 8s an f • ..I 6d.

On Monday, at Toko, there was a small 'entry, whicll sold as follows: — Mixed weaners £1 3s to £2 ss, weaner steers £l’ Is to £1 8s 6d, weaner heifers £1 Hs 6d to £3 ss, according to quality, store cows £3 2s 6d to £4, bulls £6 12s 6d, in calf heifers £5 ss, forward ewes and wethers 13s, 4 and 6-toooh wethers 15s 3d.
