H.M.S. NEW ZEALAND.

TO-DAY’S FUNCTIONS. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, April 16. Four hundred men from H.M.S. New Zealand were entertained at luhchcon in the Town Hall to-day. The function was most successful. There was much enthusiasm, cheering and patriotic songs following the speeches. The men will afterwards march to Newtown Park, where there are sports this afternoon. CAUGHT RED-HANDED. Wellington, April 16. David Irwin was found guilty by the Court to the theft of fur goods valued at £SB, from a local shop. Irwin was coming out of the shop in the early morning, when a constable caught him with the goods in his possession.
