A CONVICT RISING.

Convicts at Lansing, Kansas, tired the prison buildings in an endeavour to escape. Women criminal lunatics were frantic at the sight, and fought the warders. I They were forcibly dragged out of the cells arid removed elsewhere. ; Six hundred ■ ‘convicts acted as volunteer firemen. Many were injured. The prison was' partially destroyed. WAR AGAINST OVERTIME. London, April 13. The Postal Telegraph Clerks’ Association has voted for a fighting policy against systematic overtime, apart from emergency overtime. The Association accused officials of seeking to kill the agitation for a seven-hour day. MISSING BONDS FOUND. (Received 8.45 a.m.) London, April 14. The missing Bank of England bonds have been found.
