HIS MAJESTY’S 1 -THEATRE. Cinderella, a spectacular dramatic adaption of the well-known fairy tale, is to bo screened at His Majesty’s Theatre this evening. ' This remarkable picture was adapted and produced by Colin Campbell at the Selig studios, U.S.A., from the story, by Henry T\, Webstßi*. ‘‘Lieutenant Daring, R.X., Quells a Rebellion,” is also included in the new programme. Commander Ridout of H.M.S. Thunderbolt,” lying in West Indian waters, receives a letter from Senor Garcia, the President of a South American Republic, stating that he fears trouble on land, and asking him if ho can relp upon Ins assistance. The Commander at once dispatches Lieut. Daring ashore to investigate. Lieut. Daring, "after visiting President Garcia, stops at a wayside posada for refreshments, and thrashes Carlos, foi : illtreating Carmencita, the innkeeper’s daughter. Carlos swears vengeance. Meanwhile, General Blanca, whose aim is to depose the President and take his place, sends instructions to Jose, the chief of the rebels, telling him to put out all lights in the Punta Verdi lighthouse, which will be the signal for a general uprising. Daring is waylaid by Carlos and left for dead. He, however, crawls to the posada where he is tenderly cared for by Carmencita and her father. He is hastily taken into an adjoining room on the arrival of the rebels, led by Carlos and Jose. He overhears their plans and despite his wounds, escapes from the house. After an exciting chase, he arrives at the lighthouse and with the keeper puts up a gallant defence. Carlos manages to reach the light, but ere he ' can complete his foul work, the gallant Lieut, flings him over the balustrade into the room below. The rebels, cowed by the fall of one of their leaders, are chained together and Daring marches them into the presence of President Garcia and denounces the complicity of General Blanca. The President orders the rebels to be shot and,'after thanking | Daring, lie rewards the lighthouse keeper.
