A CLOSURE BILL. LIBERAL OBSTRUCTION. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Ottawa, April 9. Mr Borden ha's introduced a Closure Bill with the object of ending the Liberal obstruction. He pointed out that Sir Wilfrid Laurier, previous to the last election, pledged himself to a Closure Bill, in order to enable the House to transact business without being at the mercy of a minority.
A scene arose when Sir Wilfrid Laurier and the Hon. J. D. Hazen attempted to speak simultaneously, the Speaker giving Sir Wilfrid Laurier oref-erence, and the House voting in Mr Hazen’s favour. Cries of “Shame” prevented Mr Hazen’s speech being audible. The uproar ceased when Mr Hazen ended. I«9k>-
