PEACE TERMS.
THE POWERS’ REPLY.
A DIFFICULT POSITION. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] London, April 10. It is understood that the Powers’ reply to the Allies practically accepts the Bulgarian demand for the Enosmidi a frontier to run in a straight lino between the terminals, instead of the route via Ergene and the Maritza river. The reply formulated by the Powers adheres to the indemnity, the Albanian frontiers and the Aegean proposals. It recommends the cessation of hostilities. There are persistent rumours in European capitals that Montenegro has been offered a million loan in compensation for a further strip of coast territory. Austria refuses to participate in guaranteeing the loan, and will not allow territorial compensation at the expense of Albania. Cettinje, April 10.
The Government has refused, on military grounds, to hand to the Turkish commander at Scutari the Grand Vizier’s instructions to permit the civil population to leave. The Government has asked for an explanation of Austria’s action in withholding at Cattaro a consignment of goods for Montenegro. Salonika, April 10. Fifteen thousand inhabitants at Kolonia have protested against the inclusion in the demand for union with Greece. Malta', April 10. The warships Duke of Edinburgh and Medea have been ordered eastwards, and others have been ordered to be held in readiness. BEGINNING OF THE BLOCK A uE. (Received 9.0 a.m.) Vienna, April 10. The blockade of Montenegro began to-day.
