The Mail's correspondent in a wire from Puppnga gives details of Tuesday's' outrage. Numbers of drunken men made attacks on the house of tho mine deputy, and violently assaulted the man, who had to practically run for his life. The dwelling was then fired and burned to, the ground.

The mine is now closed down

The President of the Miners' Union anticipates the trouble will fizzle out without further disturbance.
