WHAT STANDS TO ITS CREDIT

Mr Cook, Federal Opposition Leader, in a speech attacking , the Labor .■■.■ forty, said that if all which was transpiring to-day was the result of the party's wonderful performances, then they should not decline to set these things to their credit: 253 strikes, causing the loss of £8,000,000 in wages: an increase in the cost of living of 30 per cent., as was declared on oath before the Industrial Court; I an increased taxation of at least £lO to £l2 per family; as a result money was tight, and difficult to obtain.
