The Manawatu autumn meeting opened in fine weather. There was a good attendance and the going was good. Results Karere Hurdles.—Sam Pan 1, Alma 2, Kauroa 3 .Scratched: Kendrock. Won by three lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 3 min 19sec. Maiden.—Sweei Zannit 1, Gerberga 2, Whakapona 3.
