THE' POLICEMEN’S LIFE IS NOT A HAPPY ONE. [By Electric Telegraph —Copyright] ,[United Press Association.] (Received 9.20 a.m.) Sydney, April 9. The latest phase of the industrial unrest is a police grievance. Discontent has been prevalent among the Metropolitan force for months over the stoppage of alternate Sunday leave, chiefly owing to the labour troubles. A scheme is afoot to form an association with a view to concerted action to obtain redress. The grievances appertain to shorter hours, and increased pay.
