A COAL MIXER KILLED
[Per Press Association.] Whangarei, April 7. A miner, named Jenkins, was killed by a fall of earth in the Northern Company’s mine at Hikurangi. The miners stopped work to-day out of respect to his memory. A VICTIM OF THE FLOODS. Invercargill, April 7. The body of David Younger, a farmer at Groper’s Bush, was recovered from the Aparima river on Sunday, in the vicinity of Fairfax. The deceased had been missing from his home since Friday, March 28th, when he left at 6.30 to remove some cattle to a oosition of safety from the floods.
