NEWTON KING’S WEEKLY REPORT. On Friday, 28th nit., at Waiwakaiho yards, I had a full yarding of sheep and cattle and a good attendance of the public. Competition was dull for sheep, but a fair proportion ■Of the entry' ‘ was cleared at the, hammer or privately. On the same day at Whangamoraona [for my supplementary sheep fair and cattle sale I had a good entry and attendance with an improved demand throughout for most classes. The latter were in demand, a small pen of 40 shorn lambs in forward condition realising 10s 3d, arid a line of 470 were quitted at 9s 3d, a choice line of weaner Jersey heifers realised £3 15s, and a very keep competition was obtained for a fine peri of Shorthorn weaner steers on account of .Mr P. O’Sullivan, these being sold at £2 4s, other prices being; Jersey weaner heifers £3, grade weaner heifers £1 18s to £2, small £1 3s, weaner steel’s £1 12s.
