SUGGESTED VISIT TO RUSSELL
[Per Press Association.] Whangarei, April 4
Mr Mander, M.P., asked the Hon. H. I). Bell that a visit of the warship New Zealand should be made to Russell on account of its historic importance. The Minister replied that it was not possible to make any promises, as the further itinerary will he made when the ship arrives in Wellington. ORIGINAL PROGRAMME NOT ALTERED. Auckland, April 5. On inquiry as to the accuracy of the Melbourne cable stating that the H.M.S. New Zealand proceeds direct A Lyttelton, the Governor informed \ press reporter that there has been no alteration in the arrangement making Wellington the first port of call in the Dominion.
