FIRE.
DWELLINGHOUSE DESTROYED. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, April 2. A six-roomed house at Karon owned and occupied by Francis O’Connell, was totally destroyed by fire last night. The building was insured for £450 in the State Office, and the furniture for £125 in the Phoenix. Mrs O’Connell and the children went out of town yesterday. Mr O’Connell came home about 6 p.m., and- lit a kerosene lamp. Ho later went out. and returning about 10.30 saw flames issuing from a bedroom window.
