FORESTRY COMMISSION.

WILL VISIT TARANAKI

[Per Press Association.]

Wellington, April 1

The Forestry Commission has now arranged a tentative itinerary of travel through the North Island, though the precise dates of visits to certain parts are uncertain, owing to the necessity or inspecting some remote reserves and forests difficult of access. The commissioners leave Wellington for Napier to-morrow morning, and from there they proceed to Taupo and Waiotapu. Three days next week will be spent at Rotorua. Thence the Commission goes to Tauranga, Waihi, Ha ilton, Ruakura, and on to Auckland. Afterwards they will visit tin 1 northern timber districts, then the Waimarino district, Wanganui and Taranaki, making a tour up the Mokua river.
