London, March 29, Lightning, struck and set fire to a cotton mill at Bromley Cross. Many of the operatives, had to be removed in a condition of collapse. The fire was extinguished. Five tons of guncotton exploded on a pithead. The shock was felt for a radius of twelve miles.
