MINERS’ FEDERATION. London, March 28. The Miners’ Federation will not take action concerning the live days a week. It was decided-that in future a two-to-one majority should he necessary to declare a national strike.
It is reported that a strike was narrowly averted at the Blackball mine (Gr.eymouth) last week. It is stated that the miners took a ballot as to whether they would return to work under certain conditions—viz., alleged bad air underground—and that the proposal to strike was defeated by only about ten votes.
