THE POLICY OF PARTITION NOT BRITAIN’S. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association A (Received 9.5 a.m.) London, March 26. At Mr Snowdon’s instance, Sir Edward Grey (Foreign Secretary) said that however bad the existing situation is in Persia, it was a lesser evil than the consequences of sending a large British force. Britain would not embark upon a policy which would possibly be the beginning of Persia’s occupation and partition, but if the present policy failed, Britain must consider her next step.
