xVu animated controversy continues in the newspapers over the cricket rules, G. Steele and Robt. L. Lyttelton heading the agitation in favour of an alteration so that batsmen are out if their legs prevent the ball hitting the wicket, no matter where pitched. P. F. Warner and others object to the alteration.
The Globe and the Fall Mall Gazette approve of Steele’s alteration.
