POSTAL RATES. Letters and Letter Cards.— lnland, including Cook islands. Id for each loz or fraction thereof, and id for each succeeding 2oz. United Kingdom, British Possessions, United (Mates, Chili, Costa lima, Egypt, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Peru, Pago Pago, Paraguay, Portugal, and Portuguese Colouics, Siam, Servia, and Postal Agencies in Chinese TreatyPorts, lei for each oz. or fraction thereof; all other places 2sd for the first oz. or fraction taereof, and IJd for each succeeding oz. or fraction thereof.
Post Cards. —lnland, single, id; reply, id; ail other places, single, Id; reply 2d. Printed Papers (including Books and Magazines, not registered).—Ail places, id per 2oz • Magazines (registered), inland, id for every Boz or fraction thereof. Foreign, id per 2oz or fraction thereof. One end must be (eft open. Commercial Papers. —Town (for accounts, etc., only), id for 2ozs, or Id for first 4oz and id each succeeding 2oz. Inland, Id for first 4oz, and id for each succeeding 2oz. All other places lOoz 2id, and id for every additional 2oz (Open for inspection). Newspapers. —Town and Inland, |d each. United Australia, Canada, Ceylon, India, Jamaica, Natal, Orange River, South Sea Islands, and TransvatP, Id each paper. If undei Soz sent oy first available route; ovei Soz sent by direct steamer only, unless specially addressed and paid at rate of Id for first loz and id for each succeeding 2oz. All other places Id each under loz and id eacl extra 2oz. Pattern and Sample Packets.—lnland, id first 2oz or fraction thereof; over 2oz as for “all other places.” All other places, Id first 4oz, every additional 2oz or fraction Jo. Registration.— 2d additional for all places.
TELEPHONES. Charges.— At exenangos continuously open—Business establishments, £7 ; private residences, £5 per annum. Exchanges not continuously open, an equal charge of £5. Telephone Exchanges at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, and Wanganui are open all day and all night. The other Exchanges chiefly from 9 to 5 p.m. PARCEL POST.
