TATTOOED FOR CRIME.
“THE BLACK LIONESS” STABBED
BY FRENCH APACHES
(Received 8.35 a.m.) Paris, March 17
Apaches at Bellevue condemned to death Nini (iso-called “Tlie Black Lioness”) as a police spy, and delegated her rival, Rose Candide, aged sixteen years, to carry out the sentence.
Aided by her lover, the Apaches wrote Nini tolling her of her fate, and signed the communication with the sketch of a blood-stained knife.
Rose accompanied the escort, all of whom were tattooed with a circle under the left eye, and stabbed Nini in the street.
The police arrested Rose and several of the gang.
