Auckland, March 17

In the divorce Court, Judge Cooper granted a decree nisi in the case, Adolph Fredrick Lorie v. Sarah Lorie, desertion for over 5 years.

Judge Cooper refused to grant a discharge to James Scott Wilson, who was adjudged a bankrupt nearly four years ago. Bankrupt filed in May, 1909, and the estate paid s^d. His Honor said bankrupt entered into the flaxmilling business with capital of only £IOO, and when insolvent entered another speculation. He was finally adjudged a bankrupt, with liabilities amounting to many hundred pounds. The assets are £lB. Reckless trading such as this said His Honor could not he countenanced, but permission would he granted to renew the application in six months’ time.
