A ST. PATRICK’S DAY SPEECH

Mr Bryan at the St. Patrick’s Day Banquet said that Home Rule was certain in two years. The House of Lords’ degradation was due to its opposition to Home Rule, and tho Irish efforts —resulting in an amendment to the British Constitution abbreviating the Lords’ powers—was the greatest of their achievements in history.
