THE HOLIDAY TRAIN SERVICE.
(To the Editor Stratford Post.) Sir, —I see by advertisements that the. railway department lias arranged its train service for the Easter holidays without any consideration for those living in the country between Stratford and Whangamomona. There is no morning train to connect with the mail except on Tuesday, the 18th, and Saturday, 22nd inst. 1 think many settlers would like to got away about Thursday, and a morning train would pay handsomely, even on the two days, 20th and 2lst. I cannot understand why we, as settlers and taxpayers, have been left out of the convenience of a morning train service. If our worthy- M.P., Mr Hine, has no(j already seen to this arrangement for a morning train service, during the holidays, I am sure ho will lose no time to see that his constituents are fairly treated by the railway department, and so arrange even to give us a morning train on the Thursday or Friday. Thanking you in anticipation of inserting this in your valuable columns, —I am,-etc., A SETTLER IN THE BACK-BLOCKS
