AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. j Xo one should miss the big cow-hoy drama produced by the C'ines Company —“A Sister’s Ordeal.” His Majesty’s was almost crowded out last night on the occasion of the screening of the new programme. “A Sister’s Ordeal” is a continental conception ol American cow-boys, and it must he admitted that the foreign version it refreshing, and far more full of incident that is the variety to which Stratford audiences are accustomed. The acting is great, and the story does not suffer at the hands of the Cities Company’s players. The Rathe Cassette is of unusual interest, and the aviation scenes, together with the football and other topical items, were watched with interest. “Across the Dolomites” is the only scenic, the place of the other one being taken by a Balkan War picture, which in its eight series manages to convey a very vivid impression of the nature of the hostilities in the Balkans. “Broncho Bill for Sheriff”is MrAnderson’s masterpiece, and the fine cowboy actor was heartily applauded for his share in a fine dramatic film. The comedy “Back at Three” was too funny for words. A tramp, with wonderfully good luck, succeeds in impersonating the rich but eccentric uncle, who is paying his first visit to nephew and niece. The result is confusion and laughter.' “The Two Gun Sermon” is quite a new type of Western drama into which enters as the hero a genuine “sky-pilot.” ' The new orchestra performed splendidly and their selections were quite a feature of the evening.
