POSTAL RATES.

Loiters and Letter Carets. —lnland, inducting Cook Islands, id for each 4oz or fraction thereof, and Jd for each succeeding 2oz. United Kingdom, British Possessions, United States, Chili, Costa Rica, Egypt, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Peru, Pago Pago, Paraguay, Portugal, and Portuguese Colonies, Siam, Sorvia, and Postal Agencies in Oniuese Treaty Porta, Id for each oz. or fraction thereof; all other places 2Jd for the first oz. or ft action tuereof, and IJd for each succeeding oz. or fraction thereof.

Post Cards.—lnland, single, Jd; reply, Id; all other p.aces, single, Id; reply 2d. Printed Papers (rncluding Books and Magazines, not registered).—All places, Jd per 2oz • Magazines (registered), inland, Jd for every Boz or fraction thereof. Foreign, Jd per 2oz or fraction thereof. One end must be left open. Commercial Papsrs.—Town (for accounts, etc., only), Jd for 2ozs, or Id for first 4oz and Jd each succeeding 2oz. TELEPHONES.

Charges. — It exchanges continuously open—Business establishments, £7; private residences, £6 per annum. Exchanges not continuously open, an equal charge of £5. Telephone Exchanges at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, and Wanganui are open all day and all night.
