ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

FOUND DROWNED

(Per Press Association.)

Palmerston N., March 1.3

Regarding the body of the middleaged man, found floating in the Manawatu River, there was no evidence at the inquest to-day to indicate who the deceased was, or where ho hailed from. The evidence rather pohited to the fact that lie was of gentle birth. The body had apparently been in the water for a month or more, and may have come from far up the river. A TRAP FATALITY. Dunedin, March 13. James Walker, who had his leg broken in December through a horse in his express bolting, and who has been in the hospital ever since, died in the institution last night. He was a married man. 42 years of age.
