Yorkshire and Continent buyers are competing strongly for cross breds at full late rates. METHODS OF BUTTER-SELLING COMPANIES. THOROUGH INQUIRY TO BE MADE. London, March 14. Sir George Reid received six Tooley Street agents of selling co-operative ’■nitter societies who emphatically denied that they fixed prices to suit one another, and they handed in a statutory declaration to that effect. Sir George Reid cabled to Mr Thomas (Federal Minister of Internal Affairs) asking him to publish them. Sir George Reid suggests that if the co-operative societies are willing to join in a thorough inquiry into the existing methods, he will be authorised to appoint one impartial commissioner to make the inquiry.
