ADDRESS BY SIR GEO. REID. (By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright.) (United Press Association.) London, March 11. Lord Brassey presided at Sir Geo. Reid’s address to the Colonial Institute on some aspects of the evolution of the British Empire. Sir Geo. Reid said that despite imperfections the Empire was a miracle of harmonious working. The three broad objects of closer alliance were closer trade, stronger defence, and a more intimate partnership by a truly Imperial Parliament and executive.
