FIRES.
EXTENSTVE DAMAGE TO A FOUNDRY. (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, March 11. The third fire in three months occurred at Booth, MacDonald and Co’s foundry to-night, by which the en-gine-room, machinery room, and blacksmith’s shop were damaged and much valuable machinery either partially or totally destroyed. The insurances, which are in the Sun office, were not ascertainable to-night. The damage runs into four figures.
