THE DAIRYING INDUSTRY. f, i ‘ . j ITS WEAK SPOT. Dunedin, March 10. Mr S,cott, secretary of the South Island Dairy Association, thinks that a campaigp should be started in Dunedin reviving the present weak spot in the dairying industry, namely, the quality of the milk supply. The Department of Agriculture, he says, will have to take more stringent measures. All factories should adopt the North Island plan of employing an official (paid for by factories) to go round and inspect the machines, premises and utensils. Inferior quality butter was traceable to home separation. Mr Bolt and other leading dairymen have been very outspoken about this, and their contentions have been proved up to the hilt.
