Tlie Maheno was delayed through the engineers demanding Australian rates and conditions. After cabling to New Zealand and after the engineers had conferred with the InterState Marine Engineers, the matter was arranged and the steamer sailed. SETTLEMENT ARRIVED AT. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, March 6. The conference in connection wit! the engineers’ dispute sat for ar hour and a half this morning. A settlement has been arrived at, bid no details are available at present. Sir James Mills and Mr Wallace the local secretary of the Engineers
