Deceased and his little brother aged 4 years, were playing on the landing steps at the wharf, and the former fell into the water. The younger brother says ho told two men about the accident, but apparently he failed to make himself understood. Search for the body was unsuccessful. Writes the Waitara correspondent of the Taranaki Herald : Mr C. Holdswich had the misfortune to meet with another accident while working on the new bridge. Mr Holdswich has met with two accidents previous to this one since the erection of the bridge was started. In the first his hand was badly crushed, and secondly he received a broken arm, and thirdly he h.as had two fingers drawn into a block and badly crushed. Mr Holdswich is no doubt having more than his share. Mrs Holdswich, who was bitten by a katipo spider last week, is progressing favourably and is now at her home.
