RIFLE SHOOTING.
(Per Prefix Association.) Trenthan, Mai ch 1. Shooting continued this morning in lino weather, and with strong steady I6ft-rear breeze. The Standard Test match, as authorised under the regulations for musketry course, and, Vanishing Target Match, 200yds, seven shots, were taken simultaneously. The former match includes grouping, snap-shooting, application and rapid firing at 100yds, 200yds, 500yds, and 200yds respectively. So far the top scorers are Sapor (Taumarina) and Roots (Patea) 79 out of a possible 85; Loveday (Ohura) 78, Montgomery (Dunedin) 77. 'the match will not be completed to-day.
