The weather and the wicket were favorable. Crawford’s was a great innings. South Australia, in their first innings, scored 368 (Mayne 43, Campbell 21, Crawford 163, Rundell 31, Middleton 20). Matthews took four wickets for 111, McNaughton four for 101, and Cannon two for 67. BOXING. Wanganui, February 28. The Wanganui Boxing Association held a tournament to-night in the presence of a very large audience. Bartlett, of Christchurch, knocked out Caldwell, of Wanganui, in the second round for a purse of £2O. Tmscott heat Porter over fifteen rounds, on points, for a purse of £7O. CYCLING. SIX DAYS RACE. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Melbourne, March 1. In tho six-days’ cycling race, ten teams remain in at the finish.
