THE TRADE COMMISSION.

ARRIVAL IN DUNEDIN. tPer Press Association.) Dunedin, February 24. The following members of the Empire Trade Commission arrived by special train from Invercargill at 10.45 p.ra. They consist of Sir E. Vincent, Sir H. Rider Haggard, Sir A. Bateman, and.Alossrs N. Lorimer, T. Garnett, J. Tatlon (representing the Mother Country) and I). Campbell (Australia). The Hon. Air Bowring (Newfoundland) has just- arrived in Perth, - and will probably join the commission in about ten days. Jho Hon. G. Foster (Canada) is coming direct from ALancouver, and will join the commission in the North Island. Sir R. Solomon (South Africa) will not attend the sittings in New Zealand. Alessrs. H. AI. Gore and J. B. Gray will act as official reporters in New Zealand. On arrival at the Bluff the commissioners received a wireless message from the Hon. H. I), Bell, Alinister of Internal Affairs, and also a telegraphic message from the Prime Minister. To-morrow the commission will open its sittings at 10.30, and will take the evidence of members of the Chamber of Commerce. The commis sioners were welcomed here by the Hon. J. R. Sinclair, New Zealand’s representative on the commission. They expect to conclude the Dunedin sititngs on Friday.
