THE AUSTRALIAN ADMIRAL. Melbourne, February 24. In connection with the proposed appointment of a British Admiral to the navy, though not officially announced, there is reason to believe that RearAdmiral G. E. Patey, who commanded the second battle sqfladron of tlie second division of the Home fleet, has been selected for the position.
