Liberal remuneration in tire shape of savings is offered. x With taste for good reading growing, it is pleasing to note tliat Mr Hopkins keeps a stock of entertaining literature, to which all who demand taste in their reading can go and some new good novels are announced. On Friday, February 28th, Mr Newton King’s Douglas supplementary sheep and ram fair and cattle sale take place. Entries appear elsewhere. Messrs C. and E. Jackson are advertising some excellent properties on page three of this issue, which should appeal to those in search of land. Land buyers would do well to look up this enterprising firm before deciding on their purchase. A gold curbed bangle is advertised for. Mr Newton King publishes particulars of his Stratford horse bazxar to be held on Saturday. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company hold a cattle sale in the Stratford yaids tomorrow in conjunction with Messrs Webster, Dobson and Co. On Thursday, February 27th, the N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. holds a stock sale at Hawera. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. li’ld their annual ram fair at Tattersalls’ Hawera on Friday next, February 28th. Entries to date for the N.Z.L. and M.A. Co.’s Eltham sale are advertised. Messrs Hannah and Co. circulate an inset with this issue, detailing their great bargain boot sale, which is now at its zenith. A settler adjoining tho Government block of 50,00 Oacres, which is to be pub on the market next month, is prepared to convey selectors to the block, and find accommodation and a guide for them at a moderate charge. For particulars apply this office. Special railway arrangements in connection with the New Plymouth show are advertised. White’s Gigantic End of Season Sale is proving an irresistible attraction—Saturday’s business constituted a record. Both tho drapery and clothing shops were crowded during the greater part of tho day. During the early part of the afternoon tho congestion became, so great that a lot of customers wore unable to get in the doorways. Mr White wishes to apologise to all who were unable to got attended to; and extends a hearty invitation to all who liko bargains to call early. White’s Corner for Bargains this week. The man who is not in the trade is sometimes puzzled to know what is the difference between tho customtailored suit and the chart order suit of a firm liko the Egmont Clothing Co. The manager tells in his new advertisement that the great difference is a saving of £2 or thereabouts in favor of the Egmont suits.
