Nineteen officials of the National Cash Register Company have been sentenced to short periods of imprisonment for a breach o I the antitrust law. The president, Patterson, was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment. The judge attacked the defendants’ methods vigorously. .Millions of dollars, he said, could have been made legitimately, but this was not sufficient for the officials of the company.
