U ERMANY’S ATTITUDE. London, February 19. The Chronicle applauds Germany’s noble part in preventing a European outburst in the Balkans. The same pacific spirit animates the rulers towards England. It welcomes Herr von Jagow’s declaration in the common interests, (Received 8.0. a.m.) Cettinje, February 19. Details of General Martinovitch’s column storming Bardanjolt show that he sent 300 volunteers armed with shears to break the Turkish wire fences, and only ton returned, hive thousand was the total of Montenegrin casualties in three days. Podgoritza. is like an immense hospital. The wounded are everywhere, and there is a terrible lack of surgeons. In the partial capture' of Bardanjolt, and in the Turkish counter attack on the Montenegrin trenches on the plain, the Montenegrins lost 4000 out of 30,000.
