The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternorm as follows : The indications are for southerly moderate to strong winds and backing bv west to north. r lhe weather will prove squally with heavy showers, but should improve temporarily. The barometer has a rising tendency, but expect a low barometic pressure in the beginning of the week.
