A DWELLING HOUSE DESTROYED (Per Press Association.) Ashburton, February 13. A five-roomed house in Rayley street, Ilampstecl, owned and occu pied by James Jackson, with its contents, was completely destroyed bj fire shortly after 2 o’clock this morn ing. Insurances: £250 on the housi and £75 on the furniture with the North British office. One of the old land marks of the Waimate Plains was removed on Wed nesday, when the stables situated a' Otakeho were completely destroyed A residence in the neighbourhood had a narrow escape.
