D. S. McLean, M. C. Aagaard, and George Oliver were at the Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr Kenrick, S.M., and fined 10s and 7s for riding bicycles on the footpath. E. P. Loftus, for driving a motor car without lights was dealt with in'a similar manner. Dog owners who are sending animals to the New Plytnonth Show.,cart, if they so wish, eo/ununicatc with Mr. T. Kirkwood, who will do all iiij his power to look after ..dogs placed in his care. The many friends of Dr. Harrison, of Eltham, will learn with regret that he is in a very serious condition. As a result of an unfortunate accident which passed unnoticed on Tuesday of last week, blood poisoning lias set in with serious results. He is receiving ©very attention, Dr. Paget, of Stratford, Mr Wylie, of New Plymouth, and Dr. Valintine (Dr. Harrison’s brother-in-law), having been called in. Sincere hopes are everywhere expressed for Dr. Harrison’s recovery.
