Barlow’s b g Katua 1, Mrs C. Ruscoe’s ch g Royal Dragoon 2, Mr V. Cornaga’s br g Maxwell 3. Won comfortably by a length from Royal Dragoon, with Maxwell a head away third, and Kauroa and Muleteer next. Time, Imin 44 2-ssec. Okato Hack Handicap.—Mr J. F. Butler’s b m Goniiey 1, Mr W. Handley’s br g Worcester 2, Mr G. Clarebu.rt’s ch m Minora 3. Won by three-quarters of a length from Worcester, who came fast from the distance with Minora only a neck away third. Aurake and St. Kildare i were the next to finish. Time, Imin ; 44sec. The totalisator turn-over at the New I Plymouth yesterday amounted to £12,840, as against £10,566 10s for the corresponding day last year. The Rotorua Cup, run yesterday, was won by Semolina.
