At a meeting of the Victorian Cricket Association reference was made to the grave of Harry Graham being in a neglected state in the Dunedin cemetery, and it was decided to make, inquiries with a view to erecting a tombstone or exhuming the body and bringing it to Melbourne. The weather was fine and the wicket easy for the resumption of the match. Trumper played wigbrous and hidsterly cricket, and his innings was 'chanceless. He was in three hours find hit sixteen fours. He, received a great ovation. Ryder, was in great form, and took five wickets in seven overs for fifteen runs. Scores :—New South first innings 389 (Trumper not out 128, Noble 40). Rest oi Australia, second innings 6 for 263 (Mayne 26, Hill 34, Moves 25, Armstrong not out 33, Ryder not out 23). SWIMMING. THE CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. Wanganui, February 10. The New Zealand ladies’ swimming championship for 100yds was won by Miss A. O’Leary, Masterton, Miss D. Farqnhar, Auckland, being second, and Miss Eade, Christchurch, third. Time, Imin 24 l-ssec., a New Zealand record. 410yds Championship (holder of the title, M. E. Champion).— Champion (Waitemata), 1. Final: Champion (Waitemata) 1, Welson (Waitemata) 2, Atkinson (Opawa) 3. Seymour (Hawke’s Bay) 4, T. Thomas (Wanganui) 5. Champion and Seymour got very slightly the worst of the start, but the former soon made up his ground. Turning at 350 yards, Champion led by six yards from his club mate, with Atkinson and Seymour close together. The end saw Champion win ’by about fourteen yards behind third. Seymour was fourth two yards behind the Opawa man, Thomas finishing last. Time, smiu 40sec. This beat the New Zealand record by 8.3-ssec. 150yds. Handicap (inter-club).— Final: Annand 1.
