DROWNED AT ROTORUA. *.x"er Press Association. i Rotorua, February 10. Solomon Newton, 50, a native, was drowned in the lake through falling off a fishing launch yesterday evening. Newton made the trip to America with the native troupe.

DIED FROM A GUNSHOT WOUND. Thames, February 10. Alexander Dunlop, 27, son of a well known resident at Parawai, died from injuries received from a gunshot wound in the stomach last \night. Deceased was in his bedroom and a shot was heard, but when his relatives entered and found Dunlop ho was in a dying condition and expired shortly after.
