LOST ON THE MOUNTAIN.

AN ELTHAM RESIDENT. (Per Press Association.) Eltham, February 10. Considerable uneasiness is felt in Eltham concerning Mr H. J. Barnard, secretary of the Eltham Dairy Company, who' has been lost on Mount Egmont, since yesterday afternoon. Strong search parties have been sent out. A son of Mr Barnard is employed in Mr Herbert’s drapery establishment, and he left this morning at 2 o’clock to join in the search for his father. The Stratford police station was sending out a constable to participate in the search, but it was learnt that Constable Wade had already been dispatched from Eltham.
