HOME RULE.
A PROTEST FROM DUBLIN. London, February 8. A demonstration in Dublin protested against Home Rule. Mr Redmond predicted that it would become law in 1914. He added that the debate in, the House of Lords foreshadowed an even earlier date. Possibly, when the measure next went to the Lords it would be to get a suggestion for a compromise. He added that a settlement by agreement would be so blessed a thing as to be worth a large price to obtain, but so far no earthly consideration could make the Nationalists submit to the partition of Ulster. Ireland must be one nation, and one it would remain. They would rather be governed by Orangemen than the best Englishmen.
