BURNED TO CINDERS.

At Houston, Missouri, a negro, after confessing to v the murder of a whitewoman, was lynched by a crowd. An armed mob kept the sheriff’s posseo powerless, chained the negro to a pump, and burned him to cinders. The mob hanged another negro who was suspected of being implicated in the crime, but later it was discovered he was guiltless.
