RIOTS AT PITTSBURG.
o battle lasting hours. Pittsburg, January 20. The American Steel Wire Company strikers attacked tlie police. Several strikers were killed and many injured. The streets are impassable, on mg to riotous crowds. The battle lasted for bourspand there was much revolver shooting. Tlie sheriffs finally retreated, leaving the strikers to harangue the people half through the night. A resumption of tlie nets is feared, and the militia has been ordered out.
